Wild Boar shooting In the Czech Republic

 

We offer wild boar shooting on the largest privately run shooting estate in the Czech Republic.

 

 Šilherovice is a 3000ha sporting estate situated near Ostrava in the south of the Czech Republic, once owned by the Rothschild family this estate was laid out for specifically for shooting with woodland blocks inter-spaced by arable land making it an ideal wild boar habitat, in fact Šilherovice carries a very large population of boar which is always being repopulated from nearby Poland.

 

 Unlike many other estates because of the large area it covers, the terrain, cropping and the huge number of high seats positioned in strategic places quiet areas are always available for wild boar.  An individual being accompanied by a professional qualified huntsman who knows the estate gives the sports person  a very high chance of shooting their desired quarry.

Shooting lodge Šilherovice

 

Usual Itinery:-   

 

 Day 1.             Arrive in Ostrava airport and transfer to estate shoot lodge  

                         accommodation.  Time to settle in and an evening out if desired.  

 

 Days 2, 3&4    Evening and night high seat wild boar shooting, individuals are

                         accompanied by a professional huntsman at all times for advice,

                        safety and direction as to the target boar size.

 

 Day 5.             Transfer to Ostrava airport for your return flight to the UK.

 

 Price: -          1180€ per gun based on a shooting party size of 4 guns including

                       accommodation, breakfast, all required shooting licences for CZ

                       and airport transfers. Evening meals on request at an additional charge.

absolutly no trouphy fees payable.

A deposit of 50% is required with booking and the balance is payable 6 weeks before your trip, this allows us time to arrange for the necessary shooting licences and documents to be granted for the individual guns.  Any extra costs incurred must be settled at the end of your shooting trip.  Gratuities to huntsmen are not included in the price as we leave this for the individual.

 

 

Information for Boar shooting in CZ

 

You will require a European firearms permit (EFP), If you do not have one this is easily obtained free of charge from your local licensing department.  You will need to specify the weapons that you are taking with you, and a picture of yourself signed on the back.  You should allow 14 – 21 days for this.

 

Rifle size should be .270, 30-06, .308 or greater and it should be securely boxed and weigh no more than 5kg.  Ammunition should be separately securely boxed.  Weapons and ammunition must be declared to customs and the travel company on arrival at the airport together with your EFP, valid hunting licence and letter of invitation which we supply.  Your firearms can then be collected from customs in your final destination airport.

 

Clothing and equipment are very important for you to have a comfortable and enjoyable hunt at Šilherovice and a recommended list will be made available on booking.

 

The best airline to fly with is Czech airlines which fly to Ostrava from Manchester and Heathrow.  We would recommend the Heathrow early morning flight as there is a minimal waiting time at Prague for your connecting fight to Ostrava, also we have found them by far the cheapest option. Prices are approximately £347 per person return.
